  • Fixed an issue where crystal shards were assigned one way, and then were actually awarded a different way.

  • Random hero options resulted in a crash of the randomizer. This is fixed.
  • The nothing vending machine should now act properly.
  • There were cases where you weren't allowed to go straight to the Zeromus fight from Toroia or the Dwarf Castle. I think that this is fixed, but I'm not 100% sure.

  • The "Show Monster Chests" checkbox was in the incorrect spot. It has been moved to its' correct spot on the Enemies tab.
  • Came up with an alternate way to launch a web browser for the "More" link with regards to FG items.
  • The install.zip file was compressed incorrectly in version 6.0.0. This should be corrected in this version.

  • Removed the Sword of Legend from the rewards list and replaced it with a Crystal Shard. (but see below!)
    • Added Sword Of Legend to the weapons list as a tier 3 weapon.
    • Therefore, the Smithy now only requires the Adamantite in order to receive a tier 9 item.
  • Relatedly, enhanced the Smithy weapon and armor store from tier 6-8 to tier 7-9.
  • Removed Pink Tail from the rewards list and replaced it with a Crystal Shard. (but see below!)
    • Added Pink Tail to the items list. This can be found in a non-monster tier 8 or tier 9 treasure box.
  • Added a combo box where you can select the number of crystal shards available in a seed from 0 to 13.
    • Nothings available will be the inverse. In other words, 13 - [Crystal Shards], but...
    • Added an option to replace nothing rewards with items instead.
    • The Nothing key item will require 1/2 of the total Nothings available, rounded down.
      • If there are 0 or 1 nothings available, you will receive a free key item at the vending machine.
    • The tier 9 vending machine item will require 3/4 of the nothings available, rounded up.
      • There must be a minimum of 2 Nothings available in order to receive this bonus.
  • Added a combobox where you specify the number of heroes you want in a seed.
    • Any rewards associated with missing heroes will be replaced with a minor item.
  • Added a combobox where you specify the minimum number of characters required before you're forced to go to the underground or the moon.
    • There is no longer a higher minimum requirement for forced hovercraft or moon routes.
  • Removed three "single monster" boss fights. These are replaced with the following:
    • Two groups of one monster each
    • Three groups of one monster each
    • One of the following:
      • Two groups of four monsters each
      • Three groups of three monsters each
      • Four groups of two monsters each
  • Removed monsters that just fought or did something that didn't affect the heroes in the remaining "single monster" boss fight only.
  • Removed Lunasaurs and White Dragons from the normal monster pool. (They are bosses)
  • @marcmagus added an option where you can show monster chests
  • @marcmagus added a custom battle animation of the Mop.
  • Tripled the cost of Coeurl Whiskers from 1000 to 3000 gil.
  • Removed the fallen soldier blocking the Damcyan Castle Jail Treasury.

Dr. Lugae / Mt. Ordeals fix

  • Fixed a bug where if Dr. Lugae was at the Milon Z spot, only one of the two battles had a back attack. Both battles should now be back attacks.
  • Changed default flags to 0OQ9KO100000 because the Encounter Rate option was removed
  • Created a simpler "Memoria to Magicite" file converter.

A new update to the Pixel Remasters is only going to temporarily take down this randomizer! We're back online, and we have the following changes:

  • Replaced Memoria with Magicite as the 3rd party importer of record
  • Therefore, GameAssets.zip no longer has to be downloaded separately!
  • You will be prompted to remove Pre-version 5.0 Falcon Dive installations when you launch a version 5.0+ Falcon Dive application.
  • Removed the Recycle Bin as a starting item, because you can now pause during battle and go back to the title screen.
    • The Recycle Bin is not completely removed, but you can't get it any other way, so consider it removed. :)
  • Removed Encounter Rate as an option. Due to PR version 1.1 allowing encounters to be turned on and off, this option is no longer necessary.
  • Made the Perseus Bow, Perseus Arrow, and Mystic Whip as back row weapons, as they should be in FF4 Vanilla

  • Fixed a minor bug where you can fight the Sylph Cave boss multiple times and get its' reward. This bug is minor because multiple copies of a reward, including Nothings and Crystal Shards, do not actually mean multiple copies because of how Nothings and Crystal Shards are actually counted.

  • Fixed a bug where if you talked to the Sylph you would normally talk to in vanilla to receive the Sylph call for Rydia, a softlock would occur instead.
  • Fixed a bug where if you selected Paladin Cecil as the first hero and restricted the roster to five heroes and duplicate heroes was turned off, you would have two Paladin Cecils in your party.

  • Fixed a bug where the Recycle Bin initially pointed at the monster group, not the hero group. It now will permanently point at the hero group.
  • One thing I also forgot is that I upgraded this software to .NET 8.0.

  • Added the Recycle Bin, which will deal 9999 damage to all members of your party. Use this when you know that you're going to lose and want to quickly reset.
    • This item will be a part of your starting inventory from now on.
  • Fixed a bug where you softlocked the game if you teleported out of Baron at the beginning of the game. (Because you haven't gone to the world map for the first time yet)
  • Fixed a bug where the teleport was incorrect when being kicked out of Mist when you didn't have the Bomb Ring.
