  • When creating a seed, the seed, flags, and checksum will all now be copied to the clipboard. (Instead of just the checksum)
  • There is a button now that will copy !setmetadata commands for the dr-race-bot in our Discord
  • There is now a link that will take you to the Falcon Dive spreadsheet that will show which items are Falcon Dive exclusives.
  • Corrected a misspelling of "Megalixir"
  • Corrected a mistyping of "FD exclusive items". (Was FG for Fabul Gauntlet, the other FF4 PR rando I wrote...)
  • Upgrade to .NET 8.0

Tellah's high-tier items get a redo!

  • Tellah's Super Anger Rod was REALLY overpowered. I decided that this is OK... IF I split it into numerous items.
    • The Super Anger Rod has been renamed to the Rage Rod.
      • No longer strong against any type of monster. (i.e. Dragons, Undead, etc.)
      • Strength boost decreased from 50 to 40
      • Agility boost eliminated... and now has a -10 penalty
      • Vitality boost eliminated... and now has a -50 penalty
      • Spirit and Intelligence boost eliminated
    • New armor: Platinum Robe, tier 8
      • 30 defense, +100 vitality
    • New armor: Swift Hat, tier 8
      • +40 evasion, +50 agility
    • New armor: Focus Shield, tier 9
      • +30 magic defense, +40 magic evasion, +40 spirit, +40 intelligence
    • New armor: Glow ring, tier 9
      • +10 defense, magic defense, evasion, and magic evasion.
      • +10 to all stats
      • Grants Shell, Protect, and Haste in battle
  • Instead of being forced to take on the Kaipo Inn Pass fight, you are now given the option to start when you enter Kaipo.
  • Fixed a bug that generated different checksums with each randomization. Certain CSV files were transferred after some randomization was taking place. This is no longer the case.
  • Fixed a bug that set the flag for the completion of the Mist Cave after the second Giant of Babel fight, not the completion of the Giant of Babel. (marcmagus)

  • When Paladin Cecil was picked, it couldn't pick a name from the textboxes. (It should pick from the Cecil row of textboxes)
  • If an exception is thrown, write to a new FDError.txt so information can be posted in an Issue.

  • Added Z @ Falcon mode. You will gain the Crystal after defeating the Rubicante boss spot, and then you will fight Zeromus literally at the Falcon. It's a true Falcon Dive!
    • We recommend "Easy" Zeromus difficulty in this mode.
  • Added Z @ Ordeals mode. You will gain the Crystal after defeating the Milon Z boss spot, and then you will fight Zeromus in the Paladin room.
    • But before you do, you must defeat the Mist Cave, Waterway, Damcyan, Antlion Cave, Mt. Hobs, and Fabul Castle spots first.
    • We recommend "Very Easy" Zeromus difficulty in this mode.
  • Formerly, you couldn't use sirens if you didn't have the required number of Crystal Shards. Now, if you don't have enough, you will have a randomly selected weak battle.
    • This is in case you are completely stuck and you have a 1/10000 encounter rate.
    • The battles will become slightly stronger as you defeat various boss spots.
  • Added custom names! You can have up to five names. They will be randomly selected as characters are chosen.
  • Incorrect spelling resolved for Rosa's Augustine Tiara description.
  • Move the update to after checking for a valid seed number. (Saves waiting in case the seed number is invalid)

  • Added Reflect Ring. This is a tier 7 "glove" that has 4 defense and 8 magic defense and automatically has Reflect status. (great for Dark Bahamut battles!)
  • Added Megalixer. This is a tier 9 item only that will restore HP and MP to all party members. Do not expect to see this item in Standard and Pro difficulties.
  • Changed Default Flags to 3 shards before full use of siren. This is because sirens summon weak monsters if you don't have enough shards.
  • Changed Erdrick's Armor's Magic Defense from 0 to 14, and Magic Evasion from 0 to 10. Also grants Float status in battle only. (Can't set it out of battle that I know of)
  • Changed Erdrick's Sword from tier 7 to tier 5.
  • Changed Vampire Fang from tier 4 to tier 2.
  • Changed Gold Needle from tier 3 to tier 2.

FuSoYa needed a tier 9 weapon!

  • There was a bug where if you played with FuSoYa only, the seed generation would crash because FuSoYa didn't have a tier 9 item. This bug is fixed.
    • Yes, this means that we have a brand new weapon exclusive to Falcon Dive! I hope that you like it!

  • Due to continuous errors with certain sprites, the sprites associated with these bosses have changed:
    • Mist Dragon -> Rydia
    • Demon Wall -> Stone Palom/Porom (I couldn't come up with a better idea there...)
    • White Dragon -> Some big dragon sprite that I'm pretty sure that I can use
    • Dark Bahamut -> Bahamut!
    • Plague -> Simple monster sprite
    • Ogopogo -> Leviathan color scheme swap
  • Credit misspelling fixed

  • The following scenes were altered or slightly changed due to crashes based off of the boss sprite replacement improvement of version 3.0:
    • The scene between battles at the Dwarf Castle
  • The weapon alters at the Lunar Subterranne were reverted back to their original sprites due to numerous failure to load scene errors.
    • The ribbon spot is still randomized

  • Fixed bug where locations were duplicated in the selecting of rewards.
  • The following scenes were altered or slightly changed due to crashes based off of the boss sprite replacement improvement of version 3.0:
    • The loading of screen of Cave Bahamut B3 (Bahamut spot)
    • The loading of the screens at the other weapon alter spots at Lunar Subterranne

And now there will hopefully be even less bugs...

  • The following scenes were altered or slightly changed due to crashes based off of the boss sprite replacement improvement of version 3.0:
    • The scene between battles at the Baron Inn
    • The loading of Kaipo when the Kaipo Inn Pass is turned in (based off the Sand Ruby spot though)
    • The scene before the Dwarf Castle Doll fight
    • The scene before the Antlion Cave fight
    • The scene before the Dr. Lugae fight (Lower Babil)
    • The scene after the Super Cannon fight (Lower Babil)
    • The loading of Lunar Subterranne B8 (aka the Ogopogo spot)

There likely will still be bugs based off this improvement, but hopefully there will be a lot less of them!
