The description of problem

I've 5 units at home and they are all the same -> identical. On 2 of them I can set the direction of the air conditioner fins. On the other 3 if I try to set the air con air direction fins it behaves like the video in the link: first I hear the beep on the aircon (as the command is arrived) but after some seconds on the home assistant gui it returns to the default (off)

What else can I check?

description your issue in text also can works, the debug log only include some lines, and I can't understand your issue.

please add the error details, and attach the full debug log with the error action.

in additional, your issue description : current integration verion is v0.5.4 and you also provide last known working integration version is v0.5.4.

please set it in expected info, this is a basic requirement in issue template, if you don't know it, just remove the default value and set to unkonwn or none or any description.

Hi, yes sorry, now the link with the video should work.
About version 0.5.4 I do not have tests with version prior 0.5.4 that is why I wrote the same version in both fields.
About logs I will try to produce and download them all.

so your issue is can't control the swing,

your devices:

1. device A: NOT work
2. device B: works well

actions:

1. please enable midea_ac_lan and midealocal debug log
2. do the action in midea_ac_lan that can't works for the device A, it should enough, as you have more devices that this feature can works, so we can add another step to check it with device B, just for reference
3. do the same action in midea_ac_lan that it can works for the device B
4. upload the full debug log to this github issue and add a brief info for your device A and device B name or ID. (attach the log file)

Hi digging deeper it seems something is wrong by me: even the midea app SmartHome does not display these options... strange ... So I think it is not an error on the integration...

anyway, if you still want to do some check, just focus on one device that works and one device that not works.
waitting for your future updates.

@gianlucaromito check if you have the same Wi-Fi hardware interface and firmware.
If after those checks, you cannot still fix it in SmartHome mobile app, I fear there is nothing we can do on HA side.
