This is a regression, so start by identifying the faulty commit and posting it here. Then consider an appropriate fix.

Steps to Reproduce

Create a new thought with leading or trailing spaces.
Set the cursor to null.

Current Behavior

The spaces are preserved.

Expected Behavior

The thought should be trimmed on import and on blur.

Testing

Add a unit test to cover this case.
