Docker Content Trust and metadata warnings

On the Quay side we already have a Notary based implementation called Apostille at Quay.io

If I enable Content Trust on a repository at quay.io, it looks like I can push a signed image and then pull a signed image. However, the pull emits a warning:

targets metadata is nearing expiry, you should re-sign the role metadata

Am I doing something wrong?
